Waste management phases that can be done in the area of nature tourism are:

a. Prevention and Reduction of Waste from Source

This activity begins with the activities of sorting or separation of organic and inorganic waste by providing a place of organic and inorganic waste in every area that is often visited by tourists.

b. Utilization Back

Waste re-utilization activities, consisting of:

1). Utilization of organic waste, such as composting (composting). Easy rotting garbage can be turned into compost for environmentally friendly tourism to preserve function.

Based on the results, the study did note that the organic waste composting activities that the composition reaches 70%, can be reduced up to 25%.

2). Utilization of inorganic waste, either directly or indirectly.

Direct reuse, such as making handicrafts made from materials from used goods, or recycled paper. While reuse indirectly, such as selling used goods such as paper, plastic, cans, old newspapers, bottles, glasses and bottles of bottled drinking water.

c. Place of Final Waste Disposal

Time waste that can not be exploited economically from composting activity as well as utilization of inorganic waste, amounted to ± 10%, must be disposed of to landfills End (TPA). In Indonesia, landfill management is the responsibility of each government.

With good waste management, waste the rest of the end that really can not be used again only for ± 10%. These activities will certainly lower the cost of transporting the waste for management of nature tourism, reduce area requirements for the location where the TPS, and minimize waste problems currently faced by many local governments.
